Yes. Every Crossworker, anyone employed through Crossworks Remote Hiring or Managed HR, is a Club member from day one, with your employer covering the membership as part of their monthly Crossworks fee. There's nothing extra to sign up for.

Do employer-covered members get anything less than members who pay directly?

Accepted Answer

No. It's the same membership: same clubhouse, same mastermind circles, same events, same partner perks. The only difference between members is who's paying.

Where is the clubhouse?

In Yangon. Exact address and access details are shared once you're a member or your employer signs up.

What counts as one of my 5 days?

Accepted Answer

Any day you check in and use the clubhouse as a workspace, whether that's a full day at a desk or a shorter visit for a meeting. Your 5 days reset monthly and don't roll over.

What happens to my membership if I leave my Crossworks role?

Accepted Answer

Employer-covered membership is tied to active employment through Crossworks. If your employment ends, you can continue as a self-paying member at the same rates on this page, with no gap or re-application needed.

How do mastermind circles get assigned?

Accepted Answer

By industry and, where possible, by the stage of business or role you're in, so the peers in your circle are actually facing similar decisions to you.

Can I pay monthly instead of upfront?

Accepted Answer

Membership is billed for the commitment length you choose (3, 6 or 12 months) rather than monthly, since that's what makes the longer terms cheaper per month. Get in touch if you'd like to talk through options.

Can my company sponsor memberships for several people?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you're a founder or SME management team wanting to cover Club membership for your own team (as opposed to Crossworkers, who are already covered), get in touch and we'll set it up.

Do I need to be in Yangon?

Accepted Answer

No. You can work from anywhere in Myanmar, as long as you have reliable internet and electricity to support your work. We have a range of support initiatives from workstation/backup power rentals to a clubhouse to support those who may need transitional help as we believe that in 2026, no one should be denied good opportunities due to their place of residence or electricity situation.

Am I employed by Crossworks or by the company?

You are legally employed through Crossworks as the Employer of Record (EOR), while working exclusively with and for your employer’s team. Crossworks handles your local employment, payroll, HR administration, and employee support, while your employer manages your day-to-day work, responsibilities, and performance.

Am I automatically a Crossworks Club member, and does it cost me anything?

Yes, and no — your employer covers it.

I'm currently overseas and thinking of moving back: how does that work?

Accepted Answer

You can start your job search with us while you’re still overseas. Simply reach out to our team, explore available remote opportunities, and apply for suitable roles. You can complete the interview process from overseas, but once selected, you’ll need to be back in Myanmar to start your employment.

Can I work remotely from anywhere in the world?

The place of work is strictly within Myanmar, as we are a Myanmar company and require all employees to spend the majority of their time within Myanmar. This is a non-negotiable and also in line with our vision to stop the brain drain.

We can support employees best with our infrastructure support, engagement, learning & development and impact initiatives only when they are within the country, while helping employers to know that they are staying compliant with applicable residency, tax and other legal requirements.

Which entity do we contract with, and how do we pay you?

As your employees are based in Myanmar, the employment and HR services are contracted through our Myanmar entity. Payments are made to our Singapore-registered entity through its Singapore bank account for international payment convenience.

Is hiring in Myanmar compliant for a Singapore company?

Yes. Singapore companies can hire employees based in Myanmar, but the employment relationship must comply with applicable Myanmar employment, tax, and statutory requirements. Crossworks helps manage the local employment, HR administration, payroll, and compliance requirements, so you can hire and manage Myanmar-based talent without having to navigate the local processes yourself.

What's the typical time from brief to signed offer?

We typically share the first batch of qualified candidates within 3–5 working days after receiving your hiring brief. From there, the timeline depends on your interview process and any assessments required, but most hires are completed within 3–4 weeks and generally no more than a month.

What happens if the hire doesn't work out?

We believe a great hire is about more than skills and experience. Personality, values, and flexibility matter too. Our team takes the time to introduce candidates who fit both the role and your company culture.

We don’t believe hiring should be treated like trying on a product and returning it when it doesn’t feel right. Every candidate is investing their time and livelihood in the process, so we encourage employers to take the time they need to find the right person.

There is no pressure to hire, and we only charge when you successfully hire a candidate. We encourage employers to take the time they need to find the right person, and ask for timely feedback so we can adjust the search accordingly.

How do you handle IP assignment, NDAs and data security?

IP, confidentiality, and data security are handled directly between the employer and employee, as the employer manages their day-to-day work, access, and responsibilities. Any required NDAs, IP assignments, or confidentiality agreements are established between both parties.

Crossworks communicates relevant security and confidentiality requirements during onboarding and offboarding. For highly confidential work, employers can provide company-issued laptops or other required security measures. Crossworks does not manage employees’ daily work or access to company systems.

What's the time difference with Singapore?

Myanmar is UTC+6:30 — 1.5 hours behind Singapore, so the working day overlaps almost entirely.

What happens during power cuts or internet outages?

Accepted Answer

Crossworks is prepared for connectivity and power disruptions. During screening, we check each candidate’s workstation, internet connection, and backup power, and can arrange additional support when needed.

Yangon-based employees can use our coworking space during outages. For employees elsewhere, we assist with coworking spaces, workstations, and battery backup solutions. We also provide VPN, with monthly renewals covered through employee credits.

Question 22

What are Employee Training & Engagement Credits and what can they be used for?

Accepted Answer

Employee Training & Engagement Credits are a monthly benefit for Crossworkers. The amount is usually S$25–50 per month, and for salaries of S$1,000 or above, the credit is S$50.

The credits can be used as follows:

-30% Essential Goods — rice, cooking oil, canned food, tissue, medicine and other essentials.
-50% Engagement — weekly online and offline activities, events and wellbeing activities.
-100% Learning & Development — training, courses and other learning resources to support skills and growth.

Employees can also donate 20% of their credits to support people in the community who are in need.
